Originally, the Union Passenger Depot, erected in 1911 was designed for passenger use. In 1946, the railway was expanded to include freight service. Today, the Depot, which is now a recorded Texas Historic Landmark, has most recently been utilized in its preserved beauty as a unique venue and event space.
